Biography
Omer Faruk Dogan was born in Elbistan, Turkey, in 1970. He received the Instructor of Cardiovascular Surgery and Pediatric Heart and Vascular Surgery degree and the Associated Professor degree from the University of Hacettepe and University of Istanbul, respectively, in Turkey in 2007. Since 2006, he has been working as the Chief of Cartdiovascular Surgery Department in Business Hospital and Medical Park Hospital in Turkey. Between 2003-2006, he was a Research Fellow at the Hacettepe University Medical School for pediatric cardiovascular surgery. Presently, he is an Associated Professor in Medical Park Hospital. He is mainly interested in beating heart bypass procedure, coronary bypass conduits including radial artery, congenital heart surgery especially cyanotic patients, new technical approach and technical development of heart and vascular surgery, and minimally invasive surgery. Many surgical techniques have been developed by Dr. Dogan. Dogan's technique, Demircin-Dogan Technique, is one of these techniques. On the other side, Dogan Solution, used for coronary artery conduits, is developed by Dr. Dogan. Three-Dimensional Anaglyph Technique for imaging research technique in cardiovascular surgery has been developed and recently published by Dr. Dogan. Dr. Dogans' techniques and research papers have been awarded national and international congress. He has over 200 international and national research papers and presentations. He married in 1997 and has two childrens.
